Zuzu is bemoaning her ‘Timing’ with her brand new single

Zuzu is back with a brand new single, ‘Timing’.

It’s the first taster from the Scouse popster since 2020’s ‘How It Feels’ EP, and follows her slot opening up live music for the northern hemisphere when she performed for 5000 fans in support of Blossoms at last month’s live music test event.

“This song is about what could have been,” she explains, “meeting someone you have an instant connection with but the timing was never right. It’s about those lonely late nights / early mornings when the sun is rising and that person creeps into your mind. You wonder where they are, if they’re thinking of you too. I wanted to capture the nostalgic but also melancholy feeling brought on by those sad longing thoughts for somebody you loved.”

We caught up with Zuzu as part of the new issue of Dork, out today. You can read the full chat right here, right now, and check out ‘Timing’ below.
