About Ellie Goulding
Elena Jane Goulding, born on 30 December 1986, is an English singer-songwriter and activist. She was born in Hereford and raised in Lyonshall. Goulding began writing songs at the age of 15. In 2009, she released her debut single 'Under the Sheets' through Neon Gold Records and signed with Polydor Records, releasing her debut extended play (EP) titled An Introduction to Ellie Goulding. Her first studio album, Lights, was released in 2010 and debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album was reissued as Bright Lights and included three singles: a cover of Elton John's 'Your Song', 'Starry Eyed', and 'Lights'. Her second studio album, Halcyon, came out in 2012, with its lead single 'Anything Could Happen'. A reissue, Halcyon Days, was released in 2013 and featured the single 'Burn', which became her first number one single in the UK. Goulding collaborated with DJ Calvin Harris on the singles 'I Need Your Love' and 'Outside'. Her third studio album, Delirium, was released in 2015, with the lead single 'On My Mind'. She received a Grammy Award nomination for her song 'Love Me Like You Do', recorded for the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack.
The track marks the fourth collaboration between the duo.
