Blane Muise, born 4 May 1993, is a British singer, DJ, rapper, and songwriter known by her stage name Shygirl. She is a co-head and founder of the record label and collective Nuxxe. Her music incorporates elements of dance music, hip-hop, experimental pop, grime, and deconstructed club, and she has been associated with the hyperpop scene. Shygirl gained prominence through collaborations with producers such as Sega Bodega, Arca, and Sophie. Her tracks have been used in campaigns and fashion shows by Rihanna. Since 2016, she has released multiple singles and three EPs titled Cruel Practice, Alias, and Club Shy. Her debut studio album, Nymph, was released on 30 September 2022.
