Billie Eilish has responded to
Rihanna naming her as a dream collaboration partner, revealing the feeling is mutual.
The exchange began when Rihanna told Access Hollywood that Eilish was her ideal collaborator, praising her artistic approach. "In my mind she doesn't listen to commercial music. I feel like she's just creating her diary vocally. You can feel like she's just zoned into who she is and what she's experiencing and what she's feeling," Rihanna said.
Initially believing the comments were AI-generated, Eilish shared her excitement upon learning they were genuine. "She's literally my idol. She's the greatest of all time," Eilish said.
Discussing her general approach to collaborations, Eilish explained her preference for working remotely. "My dream collab, aside from whatever Rihanna wants, is not having to have any contact with anybody. Even if it's somebody I'm super close to. Even people that I love deeply as artists, if we wanted to work together, I'd be like, 'Cool, you go home. I'll make something alone. You make something alone. Then we'll send it and then work on it separately.'"
