James Marriott is kicking off 2026 with his new track ‘California Rain’

The Australian headline tour kicks off in February with multiple cities planned.

James Marriott has shared his latest single, ‘California Rain’.

The track follows the Brighton-based artist’s Number 1 album ‘Don’t Tell The Dog’, which arrived last summer, and was written during his North American tour. The song’s live debut occurred during two sold-out performances at London’s Roundhouse.

He says, “‘California Rain’ is a song written on tour about culture shocks and touring the United States as an Englishman. Its lyrics take semblance from missing your home life/people whilst self-doubt and imposter syndrome captures you whilst away. In the spirit of not knowing what you have until you don’t have it, ‘the rain won’t stop me now’ takes the thing that British people complain about the most and transforms it into something hopeful and to be missed.”

Looking ahead, Marriott’s live schedule includes an Australian headline tour and a performance at Crystal Palace Park supporting Two Door Cinema Club on 26th June.
