John Glacier has released her debut album 'Like A Ribbon' via Young, featuring collaborations with Sampha, Flume, and Eartheater.
The London-based rapper, poet and producer's new record spans 11 tracks across three chapters - 'Like A Ribbon', 'Duppy Gun', and 'Angel's Trumpet'. The album explores themes of modern existence and relationships, drawing from Glacier's experiences growing up in Hackney and her recent rise to prominence.
Executive produced by Kwes Darko, the album incorporates elements of rap, electronic music, post-punk, and ambient sounds. Additional contributions come from Andrew Aged, Surf Gang, and others, creating what Glacier describes as a "book" that combines fantastical storytelling with reality.
