Soaked are back with their new single ‘Simple Little Things’, in partnership with eating disorder charity Beat

Merch profits support an eating disorder charity amid a fan-organised DIY tour.

Soaked are set to release their new single ‘Simple Little Things’ on 29th August, launching a joint campaign with Beat, the UK’s leading eating disorder charity.

The project includes a music video, a merch line donating 50% of profits, and awareness content across social media – find out more at soakedband.com/soakedxbeat.

‘Simple Little Things’ addresses unrealistic beauty standards and their mental health impact, particularly on young people, Brandon Frisby explains: “There wasn’t one specific thing that made me want to write a song about self-image issues – it was more a combination of all the pressures young people face today to look perfect. We’re constantly targeted by corporations selling the idea of perfection, which simply isn’t real or achievable. The song reflects that, but it’s also a bit of a double-edged sword. The lyric “if only life was that simple” acknowledges how hard it is to truly tackle such a deep-rooted problem. It’s easy to say “come and stand up with me and live carefree as we’re meant to be,” but much harder to live it. Still, writing and performing the song publicly might help people feel less isolated in these feelings.

“This song also marks the beginning of a new, more introspective writing style for me. I’ve been enjoying crafting more poignant lyrics that make people think. Another big shift is in the production—unlike our usual setup of Marshall amps, big drum kits, and bass amps, this track is entirely electronic with amp simulations. It gives the song a totally different sound, which I love. I never want Soaked to become a boring, predictable band. We aim to stay unpredictable in every aspect, including how I run our social media—random, real, and unapologetically us. I find it boring when bands only post performance pics; that’s not who we are.”

Continuing to talk about the charity fundraising, they add: “I’m also really proud that we’re collaborating with BEAT, a charity supporting young people struggling with eating disorders. Since the song focuses on body image and self-loathing, it felt important to do more than just write about it—to actually try and make a difference. If the proceeds from this track help even one person feel comfortable in their own skin again, that’s a number one hit for me. The rest is just meaningless numbers.”

Alongside the release, Soaked are launching a “Do It Yourself” tour, inviting people to submit requests for shows at homes or local spaces, with local support acts encouraged to join. The run will be documented for a short film later in the year. A UK tour for 2026 is to be announced.
