Mystery Jets lead the sing-a-long at Latitude 2017

Mystery Jets have reached a stage that few bands can hold a candle to. Beloved, admired and yet looking forward with a vigour and style that places them still at the front of the pack - there's a whole world that Mystery Jets could claim as their own, and they'd be right to do so. Like a shining beacon of hits and creative turns, their moment under the Latitude sky is a prime reminder as to how essential they are. Echoing with soaring hooks and lung-belting touches, they're a band who can easily lean on newer material for crowd pleasing moments. 'Telomere', 'Midnight's Mirror' and 'Bombay Blue' lay out a case for why they could very well be in their most dazzling creative period, and the smiles written across the band's faces tell a stunning story. Measured and emphatic with every height reached, the delirious reaction to 'Young Love' still glows with the same loving gaze as it always did, and serves as an early festival highlight if we ever did see one. The power of the Mystery Jets is something that should never be swept under the carpet, and what's most exciting about it is that it feels like it's only just the beginning. Judging by the looks of mates turning to each other with grins galore and singing along in unison, Mystery Jets continue to fly in a world undeniable to our own.
