I know Knox County probably don't look like much
Through the cracked windshield, cross hangin' over the dash
But you'd love it too if you grew up
Pickin' flowers right out of the bluegrass

And highway 25 got some bumps in the road
And that Jeep in the drive sure guzzles the gas
But I turned that key, packed up my heart and my soul
And I drove it right out of the bluegrass

Some call it lucky, some call it Kentucky
Here in God's country we call it God's plan

But none of it's nothin' I'll understand
How He held the world, helped this girl grow a future out of the past
