Junipero Beach (Interlude)

I remember, we packed all your stuff, and we got ready to move to California
And we had agreed that I would spend half the time in New York, and half the time in California
And the day before you left, it hit me that we weren't gonna be around each other all the time
And I remember that really got to me, and that was like, it hit me like a ton of bricks, y'know?

So we got on the flight to LAX from JFK
We had three dogs with us, and we had Nori with us, so it was crazy
We got to the house, we unpacked everything
And then a couple weeks later I went back to New York

And I remember just feeling, like, so bad that I was so far away from you
Every day I would just be thinking, "I wonder how she's doing, I wonder if she's okay"
And it would be just, like, turning my stomach that I wasn't there with you
And that's the moment I knew that I wanted to be by your side forever
