Calling back in a few
Daylight floods the room but my eyes refuse
Minutes pass, shadows grow longer still
But they wait patiently for me till
Low tides roll Sunday
An even chance to make a break

I step out towards the view I've known so well
This too will end soon
Ashes fall as it comes back around
