Winnie was a good one raised in a changing world
Never thought about grades just a daydreaming dizzy girl
And Winnie had a man and a kid on the way
Barely old enough to look after themselves they'd say
But She never did care just dreamed of a home by the sea
Where The air was so clean you could reach out and almost believe
Oh and Jim was around for the ride he said
No kid of his would ever grow up with a dead beat dad
And he loved Winnie more than even she could have know
So they left for the coast, just the 2 of them and baby in tow

And when the nights got hard and the money ran low
Jim would grab her by the hand and pull her in close

So time rumbled on soon 2 hungry mouths became three
Jimmy got himself a job of the deadbeat variety
