Anyway, it’s been hotly anticipated but now the Californian bedroom pop legend is here with his debut album ‘It’s Never Fair, Always True’ and it’s a wonderfully fresh and vibrate explosion of personality from an artist who isn’t afraid to delve deep into his sonic box of tricks and have the time of his life doing it. 

There’s bangers a plenty, like breezy bop ‘Strawberry Chainsaw’ and the warped mangled funk rock of ‘…death is a DJ’, but given space and time on a full-length there’s also room for JAWNY to get even more playful like on the glorious Beck collab ‘Take It Back’ or get a little bit deep on the heartfelt piano ballad ‘Fall In Love’.
