‘damnshestamil’ is the debut mixtape from fast-rising popster Priya Ragu. Created alongside producer (and brother) JaphnaGold, it’s an introduction to an artist that pulls influence from everywhere to offer up something vibrant and fresh.
Previous single ‘Chicken Lemon Rice’ remains a standout, a cross-cultural bop of the highest order. From slow jams to pop gems, each is delivered with a vocal and musical dexterity that pushes beyond the norm.
As potential goes, Priya Ragu has the lot.
