A Day to Remember is an American rock band formed in Ocala, Florida, in 2003 by guitarist Tom Denney and drummer Bobby Scruggs. The band is known for combining elements of metalcore and pop-punk. The current lineup includes vocalist Jeremy McKinnon, rhythm guitarist Neil Westfall, drummer Alex Shelnutt, and lead guitarist Kevin Skaff. Their debut album, And Their Name Was Treason, was released in 2005 through Indianola Records, with Shelnutt replacing Scruggs in 2006. Later that year, they recorded For Those Who Have Have Heart for Victory Records. The band toured extensively in the UK and US and performed at various festivals before releasing Homesick in 2009. During the promotion of Homesick, Skaff replaced Denney. Following the release of What Separates Me from You in 2010, the band embarked on a worldwide tour. Since 2011, they have been involved in a lawsuit with Victory Records over their recording contract. In October 2013, the band was granted the right to self-release albums until a final legal decision was made. That same month, they released their fifth album, Common Courtesy. Their sixth album, Bad Vibrations, was released in 2016.
