Alice Faye, born Alice Jeanne Leppert on May 5, 1915, was an American actress and singer. She was a musical star at 20th Century-Fox during the 1930s and 1940s, appearing in films such as On the Avenue (1937) and Alexander's Ragtime Band (1938). She is associated with the song "You'll Never Know," which she introduced in the 1943 musical film Hello, Frisco, Hello. Faye left her film career to become known for her role on the radio show The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show. She died on May 9, 1998.
