Busted are an English pop-punk band from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, consisting of James Bourne, Matt Willis, and Charlie Simpson. The band was formed in 2000 and released two studio albums, Busted (2002) and A Present for Everyone (2003), before disbanding in January 2005. During their initial run, they achieved four UK number-one singles and won two Brit Awards. The band sold over five million records worldwide. After the split, Simpson pursued a career as the frontman for Fightstar, Bourne became the lead singer of Son of Dork, and Willis embarked on a solo career. Busted reunited in 2015 and released their third studio album, Night Driver, on 25 November 2016. They announced their fourth album, Half Way There, on 26 October 2018, which was released on 1 February 2019, along with a UK arena tour. The band went on hiatus at the end of 2019 to focus on solo projects. In 2023, Busted announced their return for their 20th anniversary, including a greatest hits album, Greatest Hits 2.0, and an arena tour.
