
Khaled Mohammed Khaled, known professionally as DJ Khaled, is an American DJ and record producer born on November 26, 1975. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Palestinian immigrant parents. Khaled initially gained recognition as a radio personality in the 1990s for the station 99 Jamz in Miami. He worked with Fat Joe's hip hop collective, Terror Squad, as a DJ for live performances and as a producer. His production credits for the group led to collaborations with various hip hop artists from Miami and beyond. Khaled released his debut studio album, Listennn... the Album, in 2006, which featured multiple artists. His second album, We the Best, came out in 2007 and included the single 'I'm So Hood,' featuring T-Pain, Trick Daddy, Rick Ross, and Plies. Known as the "Anthem King," Khaled is recognized for his booming voice, motivational catchphrases, maximalist production style, and his role as a hype man. He often enlists high-profile artists for singles and albums, serving as both producer and promoter. Khaled's career has been marked by his ability to bring together prominent artists and create commercially successful projects. His influence extends beyond music production to his persona as a motivational figure within the industry.
