

Eliza Sophie Caird, born on 15 April 1988, is an English singer and songwriter known by her former stage name Eliza Doolittle and currently by the mononym Eliza. She is from Westminster, London. She performed her music in live venues around London from the age of 15 and signed to Parlophone in 2008. Her debut album, titled Eliza, was released on 12 July 2010 and achieved platinum status. The album included two UK top-40 singles, "Skinny Genes" and "Pack Up," with the latter reaching the top five on the UK Singles Chart. In 2013, she contributed writing and vocals to "You & Me," a single from the electronic music duo Disclosure's album Settle. On 7 June 2013, she premiered the single "Big When I Was Little," which was released in July 2013 and was added to BBC Radio 1's and Radio 2's playlists. This track was later included on her second studio album, In Your Hands. In 2018, Eliza released the album A Real Romantic, which features tracks such as "Wasn't Looking," "Livid," and "Alone & Unafraid."
