GORDO

Diamanté Anthony Blackmon, born January 3, 1991, is an American record producer known professionally as Gordo. He initially gained recognition through DJ mixes and live performances at music festivals such as Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival. Blackmon began producing EDM singles in 2012 under the moniker Carnage and signed with Ultra Records. His 2014 single 'Bricks,' featuring Migos, was among his early releases, followed by collaborations on singles such as 'Incredible' with Borgore and 'Toca' with Timmy Trumpet and KSHMR in 2015. His debut studio album, Papi Gordo, released in 2015, peaked at the top of the Dance/Electronic Albums chart and entered the Billboard 200. The single 'I Like Tuh,' with ILoveMakonnen, from the album, received gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. His second album, Battered Bruised & Bloody, released in 2018, incorporated more hip hop elements but was critically panned. Blackmon has performed as a recording artist but retired from performing and from the Carnage stage name in 2022. Since then, he has focused exclusively on music production for other artists.
