About Kid Cudi

Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, born January 30, 1984, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and fashion designer. He is known by his stage name Kid Cudi, which was formerly stylized as KiD CuDi. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Cudi moved to New York City to pursue a musical career. He gained recognition for his song 'Day 'n' Nite,' which was initially self-published on his MySpace page and became an online hit. This success led him to collaborate with record producers Plain Pat and Emile Haynie on his mixtape A Kid Named Cudi, released in 2008. The mixtape helped establish his fanbase and drew the attention of rapper Kanye West, who signed Cudi to his GOOD Music label in late 2008. His debut studio album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day, was released in 2009, featuring 'Day 'n' Nite' as its lead single. The album received both critical and commercial success.
