Kwesi Sey, known professionally as Kwes, is a British music producer, composer, and artist from London, England. He is signed to Warp Records as a solo artist. Kwes released his debut album, ilp, in October 2013. He has produced music for artists including Damon Albarn, Bobby Womack, Solange Knowles, Sampha, Loyle Carner, Black Coffee, Nubya Garcia, Mica Levi, Tirzah, and Lucy Rose. In 2023, he composed the score for the British romantic comedy film Rye Lane, directed by Raine Allen-Miller. The score received a BIFA award for Best Original Music in 2023.
