About Michael Sweet

Michael Harrison Sweet, born on July 4, 1963, is an American musician known as the co-founder, songwriter, guitarist, and lead singer of the metal band Stryper. He has also pursued a solo career and served as singer and guitarist for Boston from 2007 to 2011. Sweet performs with a tenor voice and uses techniques such as vibrato. His vocal style has been described as resembling "Dennis DeYoung fronting a Christian glam metal band." Some journalists consider him among the greatest glam metal singers of all time.
