NGAIIRE

Ngaiire, born Ngaire Laun Joseph in 1984 in Lae, Papua New Guinea, is an Australian-based singer-songwriter known for her work in R&B and future soul. She began her musical career in 2003 after enrolling in a bachelor of Jazz Studies at Central Queensland University. In 2004, she competed as a semi-finalist on the second season of Australian Idol. She subsequently worked as a session vocalist with Blue King Brown and Paul Mac before focusing on her solo career in 2008. Ngaiire released her debut studio album, Lamentations, in July 2013, followed by Blastoma in June 2016 and 3 in August 2021. In 2018, she was appointed as an ambassador by APRA AMCOS.
