"We are actually a three headed dragon ready to eat you up," lead singer Mette declares mid set. Sure, they might not be breathing fire during their time on stage, but that doesn't stop Off Bloom from burning bright. The crowd might be small, but the impact the band make on them is instant. As the rhythms kick in, limbs start to flail, bodies start to shake, and the motion never once seems to cease. Pulling shapes over the crowd as she balances on the stage barrier and draping herself over security presence at the stage front as she captivates with her juddering dance motions throughout, Mette is every bit the frontwoman. But that's only part of what the group have to offer. Juddering rhythms and melodies cut through the speakers, so polished they're almost sharp, all but forcing the gathered crowd into motion. It's far from perfect. Technical issues plague one of the set's more downtempo moments during 'Sorry Not Sorry', but Off Bloom aren't ones to give in. "Let's get you on stage!" Mette bargains, while a booming voice echoes through the soundsystem, "not gonna happen." But rules are made to be broken, right? So the stage floods with people, the band teach the floor a basic dance routine, and the performance reaches a whole new level of elation. Leave your inhibitions by the wayside: Off Bloom are sparking a dance pop revolution, regulations be damned.
