About One OK Rock

One Ok Rock is a Japanese rock band formed in 2005. The band consists of vocalist Takahiro Moriuchi, guitarist Toru Yamashita, bassist Ryota Kohama, and drummer Tomoya Kanki. Former members include drummer Yu Koyanagi and guitarist Alexander "Alex" Reimon Onizawa. The group plays a range of musical styles, including alternative rock, emo, post-hardcore, and pop-punk. They were initially affiliated with the agency Amuse from their debut in 2007, but left on April 1, 2021, to establish their own management company, 10969 Inc. They are signed with the Fueled by Ramen record label in the United States. The band gained international recognition with their 2012 single 'The Beginning' from their sixth album Jinsei×Boku=, which led to performances at concerts and festivals outside Asia. Following this, they released albums with dual Japanese-English and full English versions, featuring different tracks on each. Their seventh studio album, 35xxxv, was their first to chart on Billboard in the United States, reaching No. 11 on Heatseekers Albums and No. 43 on Independent Albums.
