ROBIN BECK

Robin Lynn Beck, born November 7, 1954, is an American rock singer. She achieved chart success in the late 1980s, reaching number one in the United Kingdom in 1988 and in Austria, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, and Switzerland in 1989 with her single 'First Time.' The song gained prominence through its use in a Coca-Cola commercial. Her other notable songs include 'Save Up All Your Tears,' 'In My Heart to Stay,' 'Tears in the Rain,' and 'Close to You.' 'First Time' has been covered or sampled multiple times, including a version by Sunblock in 2006 that peaked at number nine on the UK Singles Chart. Beck has also performed 'First Time' with German pop artist Helene Fischer.
