The Virginmarys are an English rock band from Macclesfield, England. The band was formed in 2006 as a trio and initially self-released a series of sold-out EPs. They released their debut album, King of Conflict, in February 2013 through DoubleCross/Cooking Vinyl and Wind Up Records (US). The album received the Editors Choice award from iTunes US, with songs "Bang Bang Bang" and "Just A Ride" designated as iTunes Singles Of The Week. The album was also nominated for Album Of The Year at the Classic Rock Awards 2013. In the same year, the band was awarded Best Breakthrough Act at the Classic Rock Awards. Their second album, Divides, was released on 6 May 2016 via Wind-up Records, with the single "Motherless Land" released on 16 February 2016. The album was produced by Gil Norton.
