We're nosy. We like to know what life is like for our favourite pop stars. Proper life, y'know. Not this fancy glam sham they'd like us to believe. That's why we're asking some of them to give us an account of exactly what they get up to in a 24 hour period. This month... Natti from Fickle Friends.
7am (Yes really)
I wake up, hammer some pain killers (the ones with the caffeine in) because I have a bad running hip (lol), down a cuppa, make my BF a cuppa and I’m out the door!
8:30am
My driver took a me the scenic route through to East London from South, and the sun is shining and there’s tonnes of traffic but I'm like “yeh whatever, beautiful day, etc”. I add a bunch of scenery videos with TTCC on the radio in the background to my Instagram story.
9:15am
I arrive (late) to the video shoot. It’s in a grotty looking sports hall in Dalston but the atmosphere is buzzing… I’m immediately directed towards hair and make up and see two familiar faces (my glam team) and I knock some coffee back…scour the place for vegan-friendly breakfast (fail) and sit down and let them make me look nice.
11am
The rest of the boys have arrived. Sam was early so they’re just setting up for some of his performance shots. I get talking to a few of the cast (I love music videos because you get to meet so many awesome people) but mostly I’m watching Topaz (hair) fix the awful haircuts the boys got for free the day before. I’m now sporting some pretty striking orange eye shadow and some patchwork jeans…it’s also freezing in this place!
12pm
I’m called for my first shots, our director Rob Brandon is a perfectly eccentric looking indie kid (I shouldn't really call him a kid because he’s not…but he does look very kid-like) pulled straight out of the late 80s. Quite the idyllic character to be directing our music video. I’m asked to walk on set to camera, state my name, turn right, turn left and then lip sync to the music. All the while, our mad director is screwing with me…telling me to do weird shit, hold the mic with both hands, no hands, one hand, sing to the sky, read a different page of the script. It’s hectic and hilarious.
