underscores’ solo records can feel pleasingly self-contained: ‘U’ was written, produced, mixed and mastered by the artist herself. Her work with others is less a detour than another way into that world, whether she is guesting on somebody else’s record, inviting a remix of her own material or turning a support slot into a shared stage moment. Start with the recordings below; the live appearances are worth knowing about, but they are not substitute releases.
The clearest early entry point is ‘Locals (Girls like us) [with gabby start]’, the 2023 ‘Wallsocket’ single featuring Gabby Start. This is a billed vocal collaboration on an underscores album, rather than a remix or a concert cameo. It also belongs to the wider fictional-town framework of ‘Wallsocket’, giving Gabby Start a role within the record’s architecture instead of treating the feature as a detachable bonus. For listeners mapping the route from that album to the more pop-facing ‘U’, it is a useful first stop.
‘Harvest Sky’ reverses the arrangement: it is an Oklou track, from her 2025 album ‘Choke Enough’, featuring underscores. The pair later performed it together during Oklou’s Coachella set on 12th April 2026, when underscores joined Oklou on the Gobi Stage. That performance should be understood as a live return to an existing recording, not a new collaboration created for the festival. Casey MQ also appeared in Oklou’s set, but for ‘Take Me By the Hand’, a separate guest turn. Dork’s Coachella report has the full context.
Danny Brown’s ‘Copycats’ featuring underscores is another proper recorded feature, released in October 2025 ahead of his album ‘Stardust’. Brown’s album also brought in Jane Remover, Frost Children, Quadeca and Femtanyl, placing underscores within a deliberately broad set of collaborators rather than presenting the track as a neat genre crossover. Dork’s report on the single noted that ‘Stardust’ was Brown’s first album written and created during sobriety. ‘Copycats’ is the direct answer for anyone looking for underscores in a Danny Brown context, rather than an inferred connection from touring or adjacent credits.
Frost Children’s contribution is a remix, and that distinction changes where to begin. In August 2026, underscores released ‘Unlimited Love b/w The Peace (Frost Children Remix)’, pairing a new underscores song with Frost Children’s reworking of ‘The Peace’, originally from ‘U’. Listen to the album version first if you want the underlying song; the Frost Children track is an authorised response to it, not a feature on the original recording. The release announcement also confirmed that ‘Unlimited Love’ had already appeared in underscores’ live set after her North American headline run.
umru’s ‘Poplife’, released in April 2025, is a recorded collaboration with underscores and a natural next listen after the Frost Children remix. Their connection has also been practical as well as musical: umru supported underscores on the UK and Ireland dates of the ‘GALLERIA’ tour in November 2026. That shared bill is not itself a feature credit, but it helps explain why the collaboration belongs in the same listening route. Another background lead is ‘Booboo2’, the September 2025 collaboration connecting underscores with Yaeji and Aliyah’s Interlude; it is best treated as a separate ensemble record rather than an underscores-led release.
Charli xcx is the important exception here: the documented connection is live, not a jointly released studio track. At the opening night of Charli’s ‘Music, Fashion, Film’ tour in Philadelphia on 11th September 2026, Charli brought support act underscores onstage for ‘Do It’, underscores’ own song from ‘U’. It was a neat bit of arena-tour logistics rather than a stealth single launch: Charli’s headline set briefly made room for the support artist’s material. Dork’s opening-night report places the appearance alongside Charli’s first live performance of ‘Persona’ and a ‘True Romance’ surprise song.
