
Niall James Horan, born on 13 September 1993, is an Irish singer-songwriter. He gained fame as a member of the boy band One Direction, which was formed in 2010 on the television talent show The X Factor. The group released five albums and became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. Following the band's hiatus in 2016, Horan signed a solo recording contract with Capitol Records. He has released three studio albums: Flicker (2017), Heartbreak Weather (2020), and The Show (2023). Flicker debuted at number one in Ireland and the United States and reached the top three in Australia and the United Kingdom. Its singles "This Town" and "Slow Hands" charted within the top 20 in several countries. Heartbreak Weather debuted at number one in the UK, Ireland, Mexico, and the US. His third album, The Show, reached number one in seven countries and included singles "Heaven" and "Meltdown".
