About Bill Callahan

William Rahr Callahan, born June 3, 1966, is an American singer-songwriter. He has performed under his own name and the band name Smog. Callahan initially worked in the lo-fi genre, producing home-made tape albums on four-track tape recorders. He later released albums through the label Drag City, where he remains signed.
