FONTAINES D.C.

Fontaines D.C. are an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 2014. The band members include Grian Chatten (vocals), Conor Curley (guitar), Conor "Deego" Deegan III (bass), Tom Coll (drums), and Carlos O'Connell (guitar). The band was formed at BIMM Dublin and signed to Partisan Records in 2018. Their debut album, Dogrel, was released in 2019 and received widespread critical acclaim. It was listed as Album of the Year on record store Rough Trade's website, voted Album of the Year by presenters on BBC Radio 6 Music, and was nominated for the Mercury Prize and the Choice Music Prize. Their second album, A Hero's Death, was released in 2020 and was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards. The third album, Skinty Fia, was released in 2022 and became their first number one on the Irish and UK Albums Chart. It contributed to their winning the Brit Award for International Group. Their fourth album, Romance, was released in 2024 and achieved increased first-week sales, receiving two Grammy nominations and a Mercury Prize nomination. The lead single from Romance, "Starburster," became their first charting song in the UK.
