Ithaca was a British metalcore band formed in London in 2012. The final lineup included vocalist Djamila Boden Azzouz, guitarists Sam Chetan-Welsh and Will Sweet, bassist Dom Moss, and drummer James Lewis. Former members included bassists Drew Haycock and Red Sismey. The band emerged from the London hardcore scene and was known for their diverse, emotionally charged, and intense musical style. They also emphasized social issues, focusing on values such as community and diversity. Ithaca released two extended plays before recording their debut album, The Language of Injury, in 2017. The album was released in February 2019 through Holy Roar Records after a delay. In 2020, the band left Holy Roar following allegations against the label's founder and subsequently signed with Hassle Records in 2021. Their second and final album, They Fear Us, was released in 2022 and received critical acclaim, with nominations for "Best Production" and "Best Single" at the Heavy Music Awards 2023.
