MAYDAY PARADE

Mayday Parade is an American rock band formed in Tallahassee, Florida, in 2005. The band was created through the merger of two local bands, Kid Named Chicago and Defining Moment. Their debut EP, Tales Told by Dead Friends, was released in 2006 and sold over 50,000 copies without label support. In July 2007, they released their debut album, A Lesson in Romantics. The band signed to Fearless Records in 2006 and later signed to Atlantic Records in 2009. Their second studio album, Anywhere but Here, was released in October 2009, followed by their self-titled third album in October 2011. Their fourth album, Monsters in the Closet, was released in October 2013, and their fifth album, Black Lines, was released in October 2015. In April 2018, Mayday Parade signed with Rise Records and released their sixth studio album, Sunnyland, on June 15, 2018. Their seventh studio album, What It Means to Fall Apart, was released on November 19, 2021. In 2025, the band planned to release a three-part album, with the first part, Sweet, released on April 18, and a follow-up scheduled for October 3.
