
Phoebe Lucille Bridgers, born August 17, 1994, is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Her music is characterized by indie folk elements, often featuring acoustic guitar and electronic production, with lyrical themes that are frequently melancholic. She released her debut solo album, Stranger in the Alps, in 2017, followed by Punisher in 2020, both of which received critical acclaim. Bridgers was a member of the band Sloppy Jane and is a member of the supergroup boygenius, with whom she released a self-titled EP in 2018, as well as the albums The Record and The Rest in 2023. She was also part of Better Oblivion Community Center, alongside Conor Oberst, releasing a self-titled album and two singles. Bridgers has collaborated with artists including Taylor Swift, the 1975's Matty Healy, The Killers, Muna, SZA, Kid Cudi, Christian Lee Hutson, Shame, and The National. She has won four Grammy Awards from eleven nominations. Bridgers holds progressive political views and has been involved in advocacy and fundraising for various causes.
