Here's a little thing I'd like to share For those of us who've been bustin' their derriere They got the nerve to tell us we should take good care But that just means spend a hundred dollars on a spa What's this about? Yesterday the train was running late I took the 6, I ended up on 28th I got to work, my boss was being so irate

I hate it 'cause life's a game of hurry up and wait So when we come home from a long week Turn the TV on Sit down, we don't need to speak Though I want you so bad, I need to confess Sometimes rest can be better than Rest can be better than Came home from a long week

Put a movie on Lay down, we don't need to speak Though I want you so bad, I need to confess Sometimes rest can be better than Rest can be better than sex I've still got a couple more concerns My girl's been dropping hints about a brand new purse My grandma called, she said she needs a different nurse

I swear to God, late-stage capitalism is a curse See, we've been running and moving around Still turn around and we're broke Putting hours in by the thousands Like what is this, a joke? They've got W1s and W9s and W6 and 4s What the difference is, who knows? We're exhausted and it shows

So when we come home from a long week Turn the TV on Sit down, we don't need to speak Though I want you so bad, I need to confess Sometimes rest can be better than Rest can be better than Came home from a long week Put a movie on

Lay down, we don't need to speak Though I want you so bad, I need to confess Sometimes rest can be better than Rest can be better than sex Now we've been together for the good, the bad The ups and downs of a relationship And you best still believe, I've still got tricks up my sleeve I want to show you every chance I get

But tonight's an exception And I hope I don't let you down If I happen to suggest That it's no less romantic if we both catch our breath 'Cause some rest can be better than Rest can be better than
