Where Devlin’s verse on Jorja Smith’s ‘This City’ comes from
Devlin’s appearance on Jorja Smith’s ‘This City’ returns to his 2010 track ‘London City’, but it is a newly recorded contribution rather than a sample of the original performance.
Lyrics
Scratchlin
[Verse 1: Devlin]
It's the white boy from Daga
Stab you in the back but I'm not a backstabber
Tell an MC he'll get bunned then shattered
You might wanna gather your data
It's the Riddler, I kid you not, with Scratch the Mad Hatter
Somewhere in the manor with the boys getting langered
When you're on a good vibe nothing really matters
I'll dance on my ones, let 'em think that I'm crackers
You fakers, really just haven't got the Jacobs
Can't be yourself with your wrap-round faces
Wasters, put 'em through hell when I take 'em
Into my little realm, where I make up shit in my head
To make an MC shit in his bed
Me and Scratch on a riddim, you're dead
Two pale-faced lyrical men
That get love in the criminal ends
[Chorus: Devlin]
It's the white boy from Daga
Stab you in the back but I'm not a backstabber
It's the white boy from Daga
Stab you in the back but I'm not a backstabber
It's the white boy from Daga
