Blinks

In need of sustenance, jaded and bored

Behind the counter of a chain record store

Wanting to go out

Made it clear

Might need your oversight and time

So I can disappear underneath your eyelids

A speck of dust in an ocean of nihilists

He's elegant and understated

While you shrug your shoulders and blink until you cry

Someone's imposing on the perfect view

The buildings and the trees that we once knew

Too fucked to drink tonight, that's how I feel

But then, you're spinning on your heels

Right there when he said

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are floating in alcohol

To make music to get drunk to"

I rolled my eyes and blinked until I cried

Cried

Cried

Cried
