24

[Verse 1]

Maybe it was God saying, "I’m gonna test you"

I was falling off, pretty high with no parachute

My parents got divorced, I should’ve already been a man

It took me two more years to comprehend

I finally saw him, he said “I’m gonna bless you”

[Pre-Chorus]

I was looking back, not forward

(I was looking back, not forward)

Ayy, all the kids got so much older

Yeah, yeah, yeah

We came up with no problems

So when they came it was difficult to solve ‘em

No, I can’t blame it on my Mama (mama)

For loving me so much

[Chorus]

I’m 24 and I just woke up

(I’m 24 and I just woke up)

My time is coming, but it took so much

(My time is coming, but it took so much)

And all my friends are five years younger than me

Though we all wish we knew what we know now

Yeah, yeah

I’m 24 and I just woke up
