Lyrics

Close

[Verse 1]

Sell it, calm down

Chewing cheek on the side of my mouth

Constant letdown

Leaving early, never find out

What you thought of me back then

Got me stuck on your first impression

Never tie up the loose ends

Keep me wondering every second

[Chorus]

Close

You almost would've made it here

But don't

Think you're in the clear

[Verse 2]

Spell it all out

Call the game 'cause it's over now

Cosmic breakdown

Get out now if you wanna find out

What's the cost of your heartbreak

If your hеart wasn't in this anyway?

Tried to give it a brief tastе (Give it a brief taste)

Never satisfied being nameless

[Chorus]

Close

You almost would've made it here

But don't

Think you're in the clear

[Bridge]

One-track mind, I'm caught up in a bend

Can't find my breath before diving in again

If it breaks me down, I'll try to see the end

It all feels cheap even underneath the surface

[Pre-Chorus]

What's the cost of your heartbreak

If your heart wasn't in this anyway?

[Chorus]

So close

You almost would've made it here

But don't

Think you're in the clear
