The Step

2021

Written by Alika Mcgillivary, Jerry Callendar, John Morgan, Missy Elliott, Nabiha, Timbaland

Lyrics

The Step

[Intro]

I do a one, two step

I do a one, two step

I do a one, two step

No, I ain't done yet

[Chorus]

Let me move to the left

I do a one, two step

Everybody in the club

Know I ain't done yet

Let me move to the left

I do a one, two step

Everybody in the club

Know I ain't done yet

[Verse 1]

Everybody in the club go to work

Tight jeans, crop shirts, short skirts

I'm gonna rock to the beat 'til it hurt

I'm gonna drop it on the street, yeah, ya heard

Everybody let me move to the left

Touch my chest, my sweat

I do a one, two step

I do a one, two step

I do a one, two step

Stop, no, I ain't done yet

[Chorus]

Let me move to the left

I do a one, two step

Everybody in the club

Know I ain't done yet

Let me move to the left

I do a one, two step

Everybody in the club

Know I ain't done yet

[Verse 2]

Move your body, make it hurt some

He bad, she bad, you the worst one

I'ma get it, don't care who first come

Turn up and still get the work done

Ice on me, how I live so cold?

Money on me, make me drop it down low

Yeah, we ain't done yet

Let me see your one, two step

[Chorus]

Look

Let me move to the left

I do a one, two step

Everybody in the club

Know I ain't done yet

Let me move to the left

I do a one, two step

Everybody in the club

Know I ain't done yet

[Post-Chorus]

Ooh

Everything I do is so cool

Want you to show me how you move

Like one, two step

Like one, two step

Like one, two step

Like one, like one, one, two

[Verse 3]

Main course, got the sauce

I ain't 'fraid of you, I been the boss

Club don't jump till we step in

Haters gotta hate outside, can't get in

So covered in ice, I'm dripping

Money up, that's uptown living

Pretty face, attitude, easy

I get paid just to be me

[Chorus]

Look

Let me move to the left

I do a one, two step

Everybody in the club

Know I ain't done yet

Let me move to the left

I do a one, two step

Everybody in the club

Know I ain't done yet

[Post-Chorus]

Ooh

(Let me move to the left)

Everything I do is so cool

(I do a one, two step)

Show me how you move

Like one, two step

Like one, two step

Like one, two step

Like one, like one, one, two

[Outro]

(Let me move to the left)

Yes, I got my eyes on you

(I do a one, two step)

Show me how you move

Like one, two step

Like one, two step

Like one, two step

Like one, like one, one, two
