Lyrics

Unity

[Intro]

Thar she blows, my lad!

Whether MC or DJ

All musicians in general

Let's get together

Because it's crucial

[Verse 1]

Ladies and gentlemen of rap-ology

We owe our fans and ourselves an apology

For comin' out our faces all wrong

You know, talkin' all kinds of yang on a song

Just like snakes, we're always rattlin'

Do you see rock 'n roll stars battlin'?

No, sucka MC's this, sucka MC's that

Yo, troops, when area we gonna stop this crap

It is a waste and oh, so sad

That the good gotta suffer with the bad

And as for the violence and negative hype

Yo, I wanna kill that stereotype

[Chorus]

Ever since rap got some publicity

All we ever talk about is sucka MC's

Come together

Right now

In unity

[Spoken]

Lemme now show you, man

Yes, man

Let's just like grow up, know what I'm sayin'?

[Verse 2]

Yo stop, m'bredren, homeboy, amigo

In the name of good music, control your egos

Cause you while revel in short-lived fun

You only hurt the music in the long run

Here's an example of what I mean

Straight up-front, ain't no lines to read between

Let's pretend that I got a riff

And come out a face a little somethin' like this

So! It's finally here, the big throw down

You was braggin' that you come to take over town

Your goose is cooked, your behind is bacon

You're dreamin' again, my fren, sad and mistaken

Your mouth is like a door with no latch

You count your chickens before they hatch

Well, I am the hunter, you are the duck

Tough titty, but it gotta be sucked

[Chorus]

Ever since rap got some publicity

All we ever talk about is sucka MC's

Come together

Right now

In unity

[Spoken]

Yes, man

They just waitin' to see us mess up

Because dem tinks that we're dumb

He-heh heh heh heh heh

Rude as I come

[Verse 3]

I could on and on, 'til infinity

All I'm sayin' is may take some dignity

Yeah, yeah, alright, ain't nobody perfect

But then you tend to jeopardize the respect

The enemy's anxious to see you lose

So between positive and negative, my friend, you choose

When you sit down to write or grab the mic

Just think what the next generation's gonna be like

Brother, sister, daughter, son, niece nephew

I'm quite sure your conscience won't let you

Come out your face wrong ever again

That's, of course, if you really care about them

Let's take a turn for the better

All MCs, stop battlin', let's come together

Don't misled nor be misled

Sincerely yours, ragamuffin ruff neck Shinehad

[Chorus]

Ever since rap got some publicity

All we ever talk about is sucka MC's

Come together

Right now

In unity

In unity

In unity

(Watch out! C'mon!) In Unity

[Sung]

We shall overcome (in unity)

We shall overcome (in unity)

We shall overcome some day (right now in unity)

I do believe (in unity)

That one day we shall be relieved

Wa dong da dang da dang

And we shall overcome some day (in unity)

[Outro]

(Lord have mercy) Come

(Come and sit) In unity

(All ruff neck, sweet boy, in effect, that's right) In unity

(All B Boys and B Girls in the vicinity, in the place to be) In unity

(All Yardie massive, Yankee massive, Trinidad massive, dat's cool) In unity

(To all Russian youth, all South Africa youth, Japanese youth) In unity

Come together

(All English youth, young people from all over the world, hoy!) In unity

(Betta know, that sweet boy 'n' ruff neck in effect to rock truth) In unity

Come together

(In effect, enough respect, I tink, to do dis) In Unity

Come together

(Betta know, [?]) In Unity

You know what what I'm sayin?

(Oh know, Lord, mi mi mi) In Unity

Hey! Betta know
