To see how you were

Since the last time we spoke

They say you're doing fine

Getting on with life

But I'd be lying if I said

I didn't miss those late nights

You left your cards overturned on the table

I was too afraid to ask you to spell it all out

And now these words in my head that I wanted to say

That I've been occupied
