A Little Sound has announced her new EP
'A Lotta Noise', set for release on 20th June, alongside sharing new single
'Stars' with
Arcando.
The drum and bass track, co-written with
Katy B, explores themes of nocturnal freedom. The collaboration came together during a London studio session in April 2024, featuring production from Dutch artist Arcando, who recently remixed Martin Garrix.
'Stars' is about how much changes when day turns into night and you feel like you can finally release yourself from what life has thrown at you,"
A Little Sound explains. "This one is produced by the incredibly talented Arcando and we wrote this on the first day we met and worked together! I also had the pleasure of collaborating with the icon Katy B on this one and we worked super well together in session.
Arcando adds: "We started the track with Abbie (A Little Sound) in April 2024 when we had a session with Katy B in London. Initially I wasn't quite sure in which direction to take the track, as our styles come from the different sectors of drum & bass, but eventually I managed to come up with a fairly upbeat, vibrant chord progression, which instantly ignited Abbie's & Katy's inspiration for the vocals. The idea fitted perfectly with more EDM-ish, stutter house influences, and we ended up recording & writing a pretty unique song in just 1 day, which could be categorised as 'stutter and bass'.
The 'A Lotta Noise' EP will feature recent releases '
Area Code' and '
Override' alongside 'Stars' and two additional new tracks.
