Blaenavon (pictured), Francis Lung, Marissa Nadler and more appear on a new charity compilation, featuring covers of Elliott Smith.

Last June musician, Francis Lung, La Blogotheque, and the My Favourite Elliott Smith Song podcast put together “Everybody Cares” – an Elliott Smith tribute concert raising money for LGBTQ+ rights.

Hosted by Francis on La Blogotheque’s Instagram, artists performed Elliott Smith covers live, encouraging donations from viewers. It went on to raise over £1500 for LGBTQ+ rights charities AKT, The Audre Lorde Project and GIRES.

In order to keep the fundraising and awareness going, today it’s being followed up by ‘Everybody Cares: An Elliott Smith Compilation’. Released via Bandcamp, it features covers of Smith’s work from the likes of Oceanator, EVIL, Martin Courtney (Real Estate), Marissa Nadler, Blaenavon, Francis Lung, Kevin Devine, Christian Lee Hutson, Lionlimb & Keep Dancing Inc.

100% of the proceeds will be given to the aforementioned charities. You can grab a copy here, and check out the tracklisting below.
