Blondshell has shared new song 'Event of a Fire' ahead of her imminent second album
Blondshell releases new track 'Event of a Fire', inspired by a hotel evacuation, ahead of their May album release.

Blondshell is set to release her album 'If You Asked For a Picture' on 2nd May via Partisan Records, and is teasing the release with new single 'Event of a Fire'.
The track showcases a more cinematic direction, building from quiet guitar arpeggios and vocal harmonies into a crescendo of drums and distortion. Written during tour burnout and inspired by a 4am hotel fire evacuation outside Boston, the song explores themes of exhaustion and existence.
"It's not really 'what if I'm burnt out from touring'," she says. "It's like, 'what if I'm burnt out from just existing?"
The album, produced by Yves Rothman, follows Blondshell's self-titled 2023 debut and features previously released singles '23's A Baby', 'Two Times', and 'T&A'. The record's title references Mary Oliver's 1986 poem 'Dogfish'.
