Nigerian singer/producer Bloody Civilian has released the video for her debut single ‘How To Kill A Man’.

Directed and shot by Bloody herself in Lagos, the clip highlights the themes of female empowerment and the satirical nature of the song.

Speaking about the video, Bloody explains: “I wanted to show a well-rounded story of women’s power and togetherness. Ironically this also came through in production as well; we had a very beautiful and willing team and everybody came through in a beautiful way.”

The release of ‘How To Kill A Man’ follows Bloody’s second ever release ‘Wake Up (ft Rema)’, which has amassed over 3 million streams and was included on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack. ‘How To Kill A Man’ has already been streamed over 500,000 times.

Born and raised in Abuja before relocating to Lagos, Bloody draws from her West African heritage and the influence of international artists such as Frank Ocean, Kid Cudi, and Tame Impala. You can check out the video for ‘How To Kill A Man’ below.
