Blur’s Wembley Stadium show – their first performance in seven years – has sold out, and the Britpop giants have now added a second date.
Announced on November 14th, the show will be supported by Jockstrap, Self Esteem, and slowthai. Marking their first appearance at the iconic venue, it follows the London four-piece’s last release, ‘The Magic Whip’ LP, which landed in 2015.
The first performance will be held on Saturday, July 8th, with the additional date arriving on Sunday, July 9th.
Blur have released a trailer for their comeback concert, which you can watch below:
Speaking about the announcement, frontman Damon Albarn says: “We really love playing these songs and thought it’s about time we did it again.”
Guitarist Graham Coxon continues: “I’m really looking forward to playing with my blur brothers again and revisiting all those great songs… blur live shows are always amazing for me. A nice guitar and an amp turned right up and loads of smiling faces…”
Drummer Dave Rowntree adds: “After the chaos of the last few years, it’s great to get back out to play some songs together on a summer’s day in London. Hope to see you there.”
Tickets for the new live date are now available.
