Aussie newcomers Body Type have announced an EP, and teamed up with a stingray called Freckle for their new vid

The five-track effort is due this May.

Body Type have announced a new EP, ‘EP2’.

Due for release on 3rd May, the five-track effort is preceded by lead single ‘Stingray’, which arrives with a video that features a local Stingray at the Sydney Aquarium, called Freckle.

Of the song, vocalist and guitarist Sophie McComish says: “Georgia has a deck of animal tarot cards – I was doing a reading for my lover and pulled out the Stingray. Despite having no backbone (all cartilage, like a shark), the stingray is a powerful creature that can blend into its surroundings but delivers a nasty attack when provoked. This is a song about observing my friends being stuck in relationship ruts and trying to shake them out of it, reminding them of their power to sting and swim away gracefully.”

The Aussie band are coming over this spring for Live At Leeds, Hit The North, The Great Escape and a run of headline dates.
